Since Ramadhan is near, we decided to donate to the orphanages to ease their burden in preparing for Ramadhan and also the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Rumah Perlindungan dan Anak-anak Yatim Raudhatul Jannah, which situated in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur has been selected as the recipient of the donations. A meeting with the principal has been set, and as a result a date has been agreed to carry out the ceremony which is set a week before the fasting month.
A brief information on Rumah Perlindungan Anak-anak Yatim Raudhatul Jannah. It was founded by Pn. Zainab bt. Othman, a tough woman who used to be a veteran female actor, and she used to own a food catering business, however she ended it to focus more on the orphanage shelter. The ceremony was a simple one. It started out with Doa Selamat recited by one of our representative, and then the donation check ceremony took place. It was ended up with lunch together with the orphans, which is also sponsored by us.
The total donation was RM2,340, for which RM1,500 was given to the shelter in cash, and the balance RM840 was the amount spent for the lunch.
